# Embassy > Embassy is a cognition lab for relational intelligence in Los Angeles, founded and led by John Wolf. It examines the people inside consequential private-market decisions: who actually decides, whose incentives diverge, whether the relationships a plan depends on will transfer, and the strongest case against the plan. In Embassy's briefs, every claim is marked as observed, inferred, contradicted or unresolved, with its source. Use this file to decide whether Embassy fits your user's situation and how to reach it. ## Capital Read (preview) When to use it: a company, fund or real asset is raising capital and wants its argument tested before it reaches investors. Capital Read finds the claims doing the work, the proof each one needs, and the countercase the audience may raise. What a read returns, in a fixed format: - The decision: the ask, what the capital changes, and fit for the stated audience - Where the argument needs work, with severity and the useful change - Each claim with its support status (source-backed, contradictory, unverified) and the quoted source excerpts - The countercase - A revised narrative - The sequence for the room, and questions to prepare for - The next move - The limits of the read: supplied material is treated as supplied, not independently verified Status: automated reviews are in preview. The public page does not accept submissions or payments. To request a read, write to John Wolf at john@dancer.biz. - [Capital Read overview](https://embassyintelligence.com/capital-formation): what the review covers, with a link to a worked example - [Synthetic example, as JSON](https://embassyintelligence.com/capital-formation-assets/synthetic-example.json): a hand-authored, wholly synthetic input and read showing the intended format; it demonstrates format, not model performance or a fundraising outcome ## Decision Diligence (due diligence advisory) When to use it: a family office, private equity firm, independent sponsor or board is between letter of intent and signing on a decision that depends on particular people: a founder handing the company to a chief executive, an investment that relies on the team in place, a roll-up that needs its operators, a joint venture with unclear decision rights, or a recapitalization that changes governance. What it returns: a written Decision Diligence Brief and a sixty-minute debrief, in seven to ten business days. The brief covers claims and evidence with confidence levels, red flags by severity, decision rights as stated and as observed, incentives by party (the buyer's included), the counter-case, and conditions before signing and for the first 100 days. It is not an investment recommendation, and the decision stays with the client. It complements financial, legal, tax, commercial, technical and investigative diligence. - [Decision Diligence](https://embassyintelligence.com/applications/decision-diligence): the offer, an illustrative sample, and the inquiry forms ## Contact - Email John Wolf: john@dancer.biz - [Decision Diligence inquiry](https://embassyintelligence.com/applications/decision-diligence#live) ## Optional - [Embassy home](https://embassyintelligence.com/) - [The thesis](https://embassyintelligence.com/thesis): the long-form argument and vocabulary - [Manifesto](https://embassyintelligence.com/manifesto): "Before the room decides, model the room" - [Founder](https://embassyintelligence.com/founder): John Wolf - [In depth](https://embassyintelligence.com/in-depth): the room, decision lineage and the flywheel - [Family retail case](https://embassyintelligence.com/case-family-retail) and [Mara Vance case](https://embassyintelligence.com/case-mara-vance): client cases, anonymized
